This is a selection of a series of images produced for a university project. I had to make a small book using a theme of colour, and incorporate a second theme of my choice, for which I chose philosophy.
I called the book :

'Dasien (and the colours that fought the sadness they found).'

The idea was to create a series of photographs to suit a selection of quotes from a number of existentialist and humanist philosophers. I wanted a theme of abandonment to come through in the final images, pictures of a girl who has discovered the worthlessness of her own existence and is lost in the throes of an existential crisis.

In order to make the given theme of colour prominent, other than the obvious point of making the photographs colour, I made sure that the colours were prominent, and, more importantly, seeming to try and fight off 'the sadness they have found' in the midst of their crises.
